Sunday School

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Ebenezer full Gospel Church of God has a well organized Sunday school program.  This year the classes are divided into six. Our youth pastor serves as the Minister of Christian Education.

My hope and goal for the Sunday school is that we be prepared for His coming.  We understand that the word of God is understood as the essential part of worship and our young people to have a desire to know, what does the word of God Say about that.

My hope was to get the English speaking adults to get involve in the church activities.  It is after much consideration and work, I came to the realization I am barking at the wrong tree.  I was trying to consider young adults who are beginning to go on with their independent life as youth as expecting them to get involved in youth activities.  Now the focus has changed to teens and young adults, Jr. High School, High School, and College youths who could be directed in their spiritual walk.

My goal is to solicit help from the young Married couples and young adults to model their life to lead the youngsters in molding their life according to scripture.  Prepare them to value their faith in the time of prosperity as well as in the time of troubles.  How to avoid spiritual pit falls?  How can I stand in the midst of questions?  "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  2 Tim 2:15

In conclusion, my goal for the youth is be founded in sound faith and lead a spirit filled life.  Be proud of their heritage.  Be confident about their belief.

Sunday School	Course	Teachers
Grade 1	First class is Preschool.  This class is taught by Sis. Daya Abraham.   Goal for this class is for the children to get an idea of getting together and get interested in Bible stories and studying about God.
Grade 2	Second class is kindergarten and first grade taught by Sr. Tina Wilson.  The Goal of this class is to make Sunday school interesting to the children.  She uses Arts and environments to make class interesting for the children.  Basic knowledge of God and message of salvation is to receive at their age level.
Grade 3	Third class is upper elementary.   Sr. Anne Thomas teaches this class.  The goal of this class is to know Jesus Christ.  Children should learn about the message of salvation.  This year's lessen surrounds "know Him  fallow Him."  Three of these lower classes use "David C. Grade 4	Fourth class is Junior High School and it is taught by Br. Reji Cherian.  This class uses a text book from India to teach basic Bible doctrines through the life of Apostles.  The students in this class should begin to understand what our faith is and believe systems.  What do we believe and how do we practice out faith?
Senior Class	Senior class is taught by Rev. Philip Thomas.  Book of Revelation is being taught in this class.  The goal of this class is to have basic foundation in the scripture to preach, teach and defend their faith on the basis of scripture.  The students are encouraged to challenge the teacher and each other on the doctrinal matters and conduct.
Adult Class	Adult Bible Study in Malayalam is taught by Br.  .   He is teaching the book of revelation and the end time Events in a very powerful way.  The purpose of this class is help people aware of the events that are going on in this world is not by chance but by design.  Therefore we need to be alert and be ready to hear the trumpet
