Late Rev. Cherian P. Mathai

January 28, 1938 - December 18, 2005

Rev. Cherian P. Mathai was born on January 28th 1938 at Ranni, Kerala. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in March of 1960 and was baptized with the Holy Spirit on the same day. He was baptized in water on June of 1960. Subsequently, he graduated from Hebron Bible School, Kumbanad, Kerala.

Rev. Cherian P. Mathai immigrated to the United States in 1984. He resigned his job in 1994 and dedicated his life to full time Ministry. He established six churches in Kerala, additionally, he has ministries in Ranni, Malabar as well as other cities in Kerala. In 2001, he was appointed the Associate Pastor of Ebenezer Full Gospel Church of God in Garden City Park, NY.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Cherian, his six sons - Shaji (Mathew), Reji, Saji (Thomas), Biji (George), Aji (Benny) and Moni; his four daughters-in-law: Vincy, Siji, Asha and Celi; and five grandchildren - Shawn, Steven, Ashley, Alvin and Isaiah.
